If you are interested in hearing about the causes and potential solutions to rising health care costs in North Carolina (and we know you are), you need to know about a fantastic upcoming event in Raleigh sponsored by the NC Association of Health Plans called "A Symposium on Healthcare: Costs, Challenges and Creating Balanced Solutions."
The event will be next Monday, October 22 from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Raleigh Marriott City Center, and it is completely free to attend.
The symposium seeks to foster a fair, open and honest conversation about costs between payers and providers. It will feature a key note address from Senator Ralph Hise, co-chair of the NC Senate Appropriations on Health and Human Services committee, followed by panels asking "How to Balance the Cost of Healthcare" and "Are the Drugs Worth It?"
Invited guests include
Mark Hall, Wake Forest University
Cody Hand, NC Hospital Association
Mara Osman, America’s Health Insurance Plans
Gary Salamido, NC Chamber of Commerce
Steve Mange, Office of the Attorney General
Paul Sherman, NC Farm Bureau
Scott Woods, Pharmaceutical Care Management Association
The NC Coalition for Fiscal Health is proud to support this symposium.
